A Home for Artists, A Haven for the Arts

Adelphi is a leading private university committed to combining the best of conservatory and liberal arts education.  We’re proud to offer students access to rigorous training, exceptional resources, and a campus and community noted for its vitality, convenience, and safety.

Building on its commitment to academic excellence and its role as a premiere cultural resource for area communities, Adelphi is proud to announce its new 53,000 square-foot Performing Arts Center, complete with five intimate and state-of-the-art performance venues, and rehearsal and classroom space for all three performing arts area departments.

Besides marking our entrance into a new building, 2008 marks not only the 35th Anniversary of Department of Theatre’s BFA program, but also the 70th Anniversary of the founding of our Music and Dance departments.

Please take a moment to look through our website.  And do visit our campus and come see one of our performances.   Our season calendar is a rich one, and includes numerous productions and performances by Adelphi's outstanding performing arts students, as well as a roster of performances by artists of international repute.  And we’re located in a wonderfully quiet and leafy neighborhood, and a short walk away from a train station and an easy train-ride to New York City.

Our academic programs lead to the following degrees:

Students interested in a broader and more intense curricular and extracurricular program can apply for dual entry to the Honors College and to the performing arts program of their choice.
